Neptunus Digital Twin
Overview
Neptunus is a digital derivative from the Mosfellsbær village in Iceland. We expect it could be a metaverse that commemorates the habitats lost to climate change and inherits its way of life when humans used to live with nature. Meanwhile, Neptunus will serve as a virtual venue for the European Environmental Protection Conference and its relevance.
The demonstration of the unvanished Iceland coastal town's future is intended to awaken people's collective awareness of protecting the natural environment.
Zones and programmes in Neptunus:
There are three main zones in the core area:
1. Memorial Zone - a monumental documenting the European coastal lifestyle and history, and marine endangered species due to climate change
- Ocean Memorial, Town Memorial and Nature Memorial
2. Conference Zone - Webinars and database on climate change
- Archive Centre and Conference Area
3. Cultural Zone – Galleries of NFT and artworks created under the topic of climate changes
- Media Gallery, Art Gallery and three outdoor plazas
