Browser-based real-time sales experience for Apple AirPods Pro, built in Unreal Engine with Pixel Streaming. Combining a high-fidelity 3D product explorer with a Metahuman-powered virtual try-on, the experience lets visitors see the product on their own face in real time streamed directly to the web with no app download required.

Real-time Product Exploration with Opening/Closing Smooth Animation

Metahuman Virtual Try-on Experience

The Product Explorer — Cinematic 3D at Sales Scale

The first experience module places visitors in direct control of a fully realised Unreal Engine model of AirPods Pro. The hero interaction is the case — a smooth, physically choreographed opening and closing animation that gives the product spatial presence and makes the reveal moment feel considered rather than transactional.

Visitors navigate freely around the device, with lighting and material rendering that matches Apple's own product photography standards: precise specular highlights on the aluminium, accurate mesh finish on the ear tips, and the translucent quality of the case lid all rendered in real time.

The Pixel Streaming architecture means this level of visual fidelity runs in any browser on any device — the experience identical on a retail floor iPad and a customer's home laptop.

The Try-On — Your Face, Real Time

The second module is where the experience moves from product exploration to personal encounter. Using Unreal Engine's Metahuman framework combined with real-time facial tracking via the device camera, the experience places a photorealistic rendering of the AirPods Pro on the visitor's own face — live, in the browser, with no additional hardware.

The system tracks facial geometry in real time, anchoring the product accurately to the ear position and adjusting for head movement. The result is not a flat AR overlay but a full 3D model, correctly lit, correctly scaled, and correctly positioned — allowing visitors to see how the product actually looks and fits on their specific face before buying.

For a wearable product where personal fit and aesthetic are decisive purchasing factors, this is the interaction that converts consideration into confidence.
